The IMD process is usually used on products close to flat surfaces, but the introduction here is different. We also use the IMD process to achieve the appearance of circular tubes, which is an innovative approach. The appearance of the circular tube is the same as ordinary IMD products that people usually see, which can achieve color, monochrome, texture, electroplating and other appearance effects. There are also many types of membrane materials available on the surface, such as PET, ABS, solid wood chips, PU leather, etc. Of course, the appearance can also be flat. The flat appearance is usually molded by wrapping two diaphragms together, and there is a fine bonding line at the junction of the diaphragms, which can cause the product to not be aesthetically pleasing. To solve this problem, we specially designed art grooves or enlarged the junction of the diaphragms to create a texture on the mold, making the appearance more beautiful.
IMD Parts process introduction:
In Mold Decoration(IMD): use PET film coated on the surface as the carrier to print ink pattern layer, adhesive and ink curing on the printing surface. Then it is heated and baked for hot pressing forming and trimming. Put the shaped PET film into the injection mold cavity through manual or mechanical hand to fill the plastic, and melt the adhesive to bond the PET film with the ink pattern layer to form a whole with the plastic under high temperature.
